Wimbledon Museum – ‘Day at the Championship’ tunnel
With the summer fast approaching it is all-hands-on-deck at Wimbledon to get everything looking ship-shape; this includes changing some of the exhibition displays in the Wimbledon Museum to offer something new for returning visitors.
Working with the in-house design team, it was time for the museum tunnel to recieve a facelift; re-designed to depict a ‘Day at the Championship’. Zone Exhibitions supplied and installed new backlit acrylic panels and aluminium di-bond signs for the main timeline, the tunnel entrance was repainted and new 10mm spray finished lettering instated, adjustments were also made to the lighting to brighten the displays. This was the first time the museum closed for refurbishment work, but it was deemed necessary for such a large section to be reconstructed. As always we worked to the highest standard to provide a safe and durable display, ready to be seen by the thousands of visitors.
